John McVey joined the South Dakota State Petroleum Release Compensation Fund (PRCF) as a Project Engineer in 1999. John is currently responsible for managing all of the petroleum release cases for the State fund. John has a keen interest in rapid site assessment, identification and elimination of risks, and goal-oriented project management. Prior to joining the PRCF, John worked as an environmental consultant predominantly at superfund sites. His work included design, installation, and operation of high-vacuum extraction systems; management of site compliance monitoring programs; and base closure inventories and remediation. John holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
