Jeff Patterson is a technical specialist at Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality with the Remediation Division Superfund Program where he reviews work
plans, field sampling plans, and other deliverables. Jeff serves as a resource
to the Superfund Section on a variety of topics including: investigation
planning and organization; data collection and assessment; field techniques;
statistics; groundwater classification; PCL selection; enforcement negotiations;
and community relations. Jeff is the program coordinator for the State Superfund
Program. He was pleased to participate in the development of the ITRC
Incremental Sampling Methodology (ISM) guidance document and has been speaking
in support of the ISM approach since 2008. Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree
in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. He began his environmental
career in 1987 with a consultant to EPA and joined the TCEQ in 1992 where he has
spent 16 years as a project manager and the last 4 years as a technical
specialist for the Superfund Program.
