Mark Toso is a hydrogeologist at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency in St Paul, MN. Working in the MPCA’s remediation division since 1992, his responsibilities include technical oversight of investigation and remediation at petroleum and chemical tank storage facilities, biofuel production facilities, RCRA and superfund sites, and pipeline releases. He also provides technical assistance for the emergency response program. Prior to his work as a regulator he spent 5 years as a geologist in the private sector. Mark has been a member of the ITRC Biofuels team since its inception. Mark earned a bachelor's of science degree in geology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1985 and since then has completed graduate level coursework within the University of Wisconsin system. Mark is a registered a Professional Geologist in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
