Dr. Charles K. Bayne served as Senior Researcher and Statistics and Data Sciences group leader in the Computer Sciences and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from 1974 to 2004. He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and chemistry from Blackburn College, Carlinville, Illinois; a master's degree in applied mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis; and a doctorate degree in statistics from North Carolina State. His research interests include statistical applications to chemometrics, environmental sciences, and forensic sciences. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers in statistical, chemical, and environmental journals. Dr. Bayne is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and was awarded their "1993 Statistics in Chemistry Award" and their "1995 Statistics in Chemistry Award."
