Chantale Côté is currently working with the Contaminated Sites Division at the headquarters of Environment Canada. She is leading the development of various components for the renewal of the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan including the integration of sustainable remediation as an approach to contaminated sites management into the next five years of the program. She holds a bachelor degree of Applied Science in Microbiology from the University of Montreal and a Masters degree of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal. Chantale joined the Federal government 6 years ago, working initially for Health Canada and since the last four years Environment Canada. Prior to her current tenure with the federal government, Chantale has worked for five years for a major telecommunications company managing their contaminated sites, and also worked for five years as an environmental consultant in the field of human health and ecological risk assessments, related to contaminated sites.
