Deborah is the Brownfields Coordinator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in Region 5, Chicago. She helps manage one of the largest regional brownfields program in the nation. She assumed these duties in April 2000. Deborah's government service has primarily been with the U. S. EPA. She joined U.S. EPA in 1980 as an Environmental Engineer and has held a variety of technical and management positions including as a loaned technical expert with the Indiana State Board of Health, Chief, Program Management and Information Section, Region 5 Information Management Coordinator for Wastelan, and Remedial Project Manager. She received her engineering degree from Illinois Institute of Technology. Deborah is married and lives with her family in the south suburban Chicago where she is a former officer for the library district board, a current library volunteer and is an officer with the Information Technology Commission with local government.
