Elaine Stanley is an Environmental Engineer who has been with EPA for 18 years. She worked in the RCRA program for 4 years prior to becoming a Remedial Project Manager in 1994. She has worked on several CERCLA sites, most being fund-lead in the RD/RA phase of cleanup, including the Atlas Tack Corporation Superfund Site. For four years, she was also involved in the liability and cost recovery litigation against the Atlas Tack site PRPs. Two settlements were reached in 2003 and 2006 with the settlement money financing part of the cleanup. Elaine received a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and Amherst respectively. Prior to her employment at EPA, Elaine worked in private practice involved with various civil, traffic and environmental projects.
