Robert Steidel is Deputy Director of Wastewater Utility for the City of Richmond's Department of Public Utilities.
For the past 25 years he has managed public utilities in Virginia and Illinois. A member of WEF
and AWWA, he has undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry and a
Masters of Public Administration. Fun work experiences include implementing a
difficult CSO control program (are any of them easy?), being part of a team that
produced high quality effluent from an industrial POTW and helping a great team
produce exceptional water quality from a 100 year old water treatment plant in
the midst of major renewal.
Bob is responsible for both the water and
wastewater utilities which serve the Richmond metropolitan area.
