Ground Water Currents newsletter (EPA 542-N-97-004). This issue highlights results of field- and full-scale demonstrations of in situ processes under study for their potential effectiveness in cleaning up sites contaminated with solvents and nonaqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) [September 1997, 4 pages]. Tool Kit of Information Resources for Brownfields Investigation and Cleanup (EPA 542-B-97- 001). This publication is a companion to the Brownfields Roadmap (EPA 542-B-97-002) announced in the July TechDirect. This tool kit provides abstracts and access information about a variety of resources including electronic databases, newsletters, regulatory and policy guidance, and technical reports. Innovative Treatment Technologies Database - Version 2.0 This searchable database contains information on the status of planned, ongoing, and completed applications of innovative treatment technologies at Superfund and other sites. It provides a summary listing and analysis of 345 innovative projects at remedial Superfund sites, 33 projects at removal sites, ten projects at RCRA corrective actions (those documented in Statements of Basis), and 33 at non-NPL federal agency sites. This version also contains an updated list, as of summer 1996, of the 43 on-site incineration projects planned, ongoing, or completed at Superfund remedial sites. Environmental Business Council Resources (EPA 542-K-97-002). This publication identifies 28 organizations, whose primary function is to contribute to the economic development and marketing of environmental technologies. Fitting the Pieces Together: The Role of EPA Offices in Federal Facilities Cleanup and Reuse (EPA 505-F-97-001). This publication, developed by the EPA Federal Facility Restoration and Reuse Office, outlines the roles and responsibilities of EPA offices in the cleanup of federal facility sites [June 1997, 19 pages]. This report prepared by the Ground-Water Remediation Technologies Analysis Center (GWRTAC) provides an introduction to the general principles of the in situ flushing technology, its criteria for application, performance, advantages and limitations to use, and references. This report prepared by GWRTAC provides an analysis of information pertaining to ground-water remediation projects contained in the title document (EPA 542-B-96-002). Analysis of the completed projects is provided in a series of tables and charts to allow a rapid assessment of general trends in the area of innovative ground-water remediation. Ninth Annual Chemical Emergency Preparedness & Prevention Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 2-5, 1997. The U.S. EPA is sponsoring this conference with the Southwest Pennsylvania LEPC Association and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).
