Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council (ITRC)
The ITRC is an environmental organization of state regulators, federal agencies, and industry entities that work collaboratively to advance the use of innovation in environmental decision making. The ITRC website has a variety of resources including information on upcoming training events, guidance documents, and information on current projects.
Federal Remediation Technologies Roundtable (FRTR)
Since 1990, the FRTR has facilitated the sharing of information related to hazardous waste site cleanup technologies amongst federal member agencies and the remediation community. Meetings are held semi-annually and attendees discuss cleanup issues and share lessons learned. The June 2012 conference focused on the issue of large dilute plumes.
Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle)
Battelle is a nonprofit research and development organization that promotes collaboration amongst environmental professionals from around the world. Battelle hosts several conferences during the year related to bioremediation and sustainable technologies, remediation of chlorinated and recalcitrant compounds, and remediation of contaminated sediments.
The Association for Environmental Health & Sciences Foundation, Inc. (AEHS)
The AEHA presents a yearly conference, The Annual International Conference on Soils, Sediments, Water, and Energy at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. This conference is attended by a variety of federal, state, industry, consulting, and academic representatives. The conference features workshops, equipment demonstrations, technical presentations, and collaborative discussions on topics related to site characterization and cleanup.
The Nielson Field Training School
The 2012 North American Environmental Field Conferences and Expositions: Advances and Innovations in Environmental Site Characterization, Sampling, Monitoring & Remediation conference presented by the Nielson Field Training School focused on the deployment of HRSC-related technologies and featured interactive outdoor workshops and discussions.
